Information is the backbone of policing. No Police setup can function without an effective information collection system. Prevention and detection of crime mainly depends upon timely information received by the Police from the public. Many good citizens are willing to share information about crime and criminals, but for fear of being exposed, they do not come forward and hence they keep the information to themselves.

Here you are given a chance to be a person who is close to the police department to provide useful information. You can register here as a police informer. The City Police will subject your application for official clearance. As and when your request to be an informer is approved, an Informer ID will be issued to you. In future you can pass on relevant information using the allotted ID. We ensure that your identity will be kept confidential.
